Ebony magazine has caused controversy with it’s latest cover, which features the cast of ‘The Cosby Show’ and uses a 'shattered glass' effect, with Bill Cosby's image taking most of the impact. So far actors Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Raven-Symoné, who both starred in the sitcom, have spoken about their feelings over the cover and what they think the show's legacy should be in the wake of the Cosby allegations.

Raven-Symoné has apologised on Facebook for the controversial comments she made on ‘The View’ last week. The former Disney star had caused uproar on social media after saying she would not employ anyone with a ‘ghetto-sounding’ name on the talk show.

‘My comments about discrimination have spun out of control,’ Symoné wrote. ‘I'd like to begin by saying that I was not attacking a specific race, but repeating a name that was said in a viral video which has received over 2 million likes. I have been denied many jobs because of my skin colour, body size, and age.’

Raven-Symone Causes Controversy On 'The View' With 'Ghetto Names' Comments

Raven-Symoné has come under fire on social media for comments she made during an episode of ‘The View’ on Thursday. During a segment on the talk show, the former Disney Channel star said she would discriminate against any job applicant with a “ghetto” name.

During a discussion about a study released in the Journal of Evolution and Human Behaviour, the host said there were certain names she would discriminate against if she were an employer. “Just to bring it back, can we take back ‘racist’ and say ‘discriminatory,’ because I think that’s a better word,” she told her co-hosts.

Whilst appearing on The View on Tuesday (28th July), Raven explained how she was fat shamed at the age of seven and told she was “getting fat”.

It’s official, Raven-Symoné is your new permanent co-host on ‘The View’. The happy news was delivered at the beginning of Wednesday’s show by host Whoopi Goldberg, before confetti rained down and Raven walked out to the song ‘Celebrate’.

"I am so happy. I remember coming on The View when I was 15 years old for the first Cheetah Girls. I'm very happy to be sitting with these smart, talented mentors,” the 29 year old said, before handing out gifts to her new co-workers.

Long before meeting Peter Pan and his Lost Boys, the islands of Never Land were already the home of adventure. The lands of Pixie Hollow Tinkerbell and her fairy friends notice a bright green comet flash across the sky one night. According to deep legend, when the comet is seen, the dreaded NeverBeast will arrive in Pixie Hollow. All the fairies are terrified, and preparing to defend their home from the monster, when Fawn (Ginnifer Goodwin) stumbles across the beast accidentally. Realising that the NeverBeast is not nearly as bad as anyone thinks, Fawn must convince her friends that they shouldn't judge a book by it's cover before it's too late and they do something they'll regret.

Pixie Hollow fairy friends Tinker Bell, Vidia, Iridessa, Fawn, Silvermist and Rosetta are all blessed with a unique talent to manipulate certain areas of nature. During an ice show, they discover that estranged fairy Zarina is responsible for the poppy decorations which send all the guests to sleep allowing her to steal the Blue Pixie Dust for her pirate friends at Skull Rock. Tink and the others must get the Dust back as soon as possible as it is essential in their ability to fly, but when they manage to anger Zarina by approaching her, they find that all their talents have been swapped between them. Struggling to control their new found powers, they must continue their quest to retrieve the Pixie Dust for when the rest of Pixie Hollow awaken - but that all proves to be easier said than done as time is quickly running out.

This week The Cosby Show star Raven-Symone once again managed to cause some uproar on Twitter with a status praising recent advances for equal rights in America. The tweet read: "I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you.”

It didn’t really clarify what Raven was talking about, but with the Supreme Court rejecting DOMA back in June and Minnesota becoming the latest state to legalize gay marriage this week, there is certainly plenty of good news for Raven to celebrate. Her own marriage plans, however, were not one of those things, as the star was quick to clarify.
