Peter Andre is an Australian pop singer and songwriter.

Peter Andre: Childhood

Peter Andre was born in the UK to his Greek-Cypriot parents, Savvas and Thea. Peter has four older brothers, Andrew, Chris, Danny and Michael, as well as an older sister, Debby.

Peter Andre: Music Career

Peter Andre first came to public attention in 1990 when he appeared on the Australian talent show New Faces. The boss of Melodian Records, Molly Meldrum signed Peter Andre after seeing his impression of Bobby Brown.

Andre's debut single, 'Gimme Little Sign' was released in 1992 and reached number three in the Australian charts. His debut, self-titled album followed shortly after. His popularity increased when he released 'Mysterious Girl' which was a hit in the UK and Australia alike.

Andre's next album, Natural was a number one hit, as were the next two singles, 'Flava' and 'I Feel You'.

By the time his third album, Time, was released, his success and popularity had waned. He released 'Kiss The Girl' for the soundtrack of the Disney film The Little Mermaid and was dropped by his record label.

After a break from the public eye, Peter Andre returned when he appeared on the reality TV series I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here! Peter Andre came third in the competition, which was won by Kerry Katona, formerly of the pop group Atomic Kitten. The former royal correspondent Jennie Bond came second. The series was also notable for the apparent burgeoning relationship between Peter Andre and the glamour model Katie Price (also known as Jordan).

Peter Andre decided to capitalize on his newfound popularity. Shortly after leaving the jungle, he re-released 'Mysterious Girl', followed by 'Insania'. This was followed with the release of an album entitled The Long Road Back. The follow-up single from the album was entitled 'The Right Way' and featured his wife, Katie Price, in the video.

Between 2005 and 2009, several series of Katie & Peter were aired on primetime UK TV. The reality show was a fly-on-the-wall documentary that followed the couple's family life.

In 2009, Andre released a new album, Revelation. The promotion for the album was somewhat over-shadowed by the very public and very bitter split from Katie Price. The album deals with the breakdown of the relationship.

Peter Andre has also been announced that he has landed a job as a showbusiness reporter for the ITV show This Morning.

Peter Andre: Personal Life

In September 2007, Peter Andre married Katie Price at Highclere Castle in Berkshire. The lavish wedding was attended by Vanessa Feltz and Jennifer Ellison and Sarah Harding of Girls Aloud was a bridesmaid, along with Kerry Katona.

Peter and Katie have a son and a daughter together, named Junior Savva Andrea and Princess Tiaamii. Katie already had a son, Harvey, by the footballer Dwight Yorke.

In May 2009, Peter Andre and Katie Price announced that they were separating after three years of marriage. The subsequent months rarely saw them out of the tabloid gossip pages and they were eventually granted a divorce in September 2009.
