Scandinavian singer and producer Nanna Øland Fabricius - Oh Land - grew up in Copenhagen and was educated at the Royal Danish and Royal Swedish Ballet schools. Her self-produced debut album, Fauna, was released in 2008 by Scandinavian tastemaker/producer/DJ Kasper Bjorke. The album featured lush otherworldly soundscapes that wouldn't sound out of place alongside the Bjork LPs and trip-hop tracks that she obsessed over while growing up. It was this dual quality of her music - human, yet otherworldly - that brought this peculiar, talented, and determined artist to the attention of Epic Records during a 2009 showcase at South By Southwest, at the end of a brief US tour that Oh Land booked herself.
In 2010 Oh Land relocated to Brooklyn to continue recording and has been working in the studio with Dan Carey (The Kills, Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip) and Dave McCracken (Depeche Mode, Beyonce, AFI). In 2011, Oh Land returned to SXSW to promote the release of her self-titled second album, and emerged triumphantly following ten gigs in three days as "THE artist to watch" for the upcoming year.
Following a string of high profile TV performances on the US late-night chat show circuit, the Oh Land story continues to grow worldwide. Her video for the single 'Sun Of A Gun' was featured in Vevo's Lift campaign and has become a viral phenomenon. A unique and captivating live performer, she will continue to tour and appear at major festivals around the world.
