Mark Chapman

Biography

Mark is a freelance broadcaster, writer, presenter and journalist and has been working in radio and television for over 15 years. He currently hosts BBC Radio 5Live's flagship sports programming, including 5live Sport, the Monday Night Club and 606 - The UK's biggest football phone-in and can often be seen hosting BBC One's Final Score and Match of the Day 2.

Renowned for his versatility, Mark has been able to work across all sports on both radio and television for the BBC and ESPN - Ranging from the highest echelons of Italian Football to the Superbowl. He has also written, presented and co-produced a range of documentaries such as Inside Sport: The Last Taboo, an investigation into homosexuality in Football and more recently he fronted the critically acclaimed Pedders: Cycling's Dirty Truth - A look at doping in cycling through the era of Lance Armstrong. A prolific writer, Mark's first book was released in 2010 and has written for Shoot, The Independent and the Sunday Telegraph.

Away from his broadcasting, Mark has never found himself straying far from the microphone and works as the in-ground host of One-Day International Cricket in England, has hosted events for a huge number of major brands including Adidas, Jaguar and Red Bull as well as supporting many charities such as Sport Relief, CLIC Sargent and the Bobby Moore Fund. He lives outside of Manchester with his wife and children.
