Kim Kardashian is an American celebrity, known primarily for her public social appearances and as a television personality.

Kim Kardashian: Childhood

Kim was born in Los Angeles, California, to Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner (née Houghton). Robert Kardashian was a top lawyer, best known for defending O.J. Simpson when Simpson was charged with the double murder of his wife and her friend. Robert died on 30.9.2003. Kim's mother, Kris, divorced Robert in 1989 and married Bruce Jenner, a former Olympian. Kim also has two sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, as well as a brother, Robert. In addition to this, she has two stepbrothers; Burton and Brandon Jenner, a stepsister, reality TV star Brody Jenner and two half-sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

Kim attended an all-girl's Catholic school in Los Angeles and helped out at her father's music marketing firm, Movie Tunes.

Kim Kardashian: Personal Life:

In 2000, Kim married Damon Thomas, the record producer. However, their relationship faltered and the couple divorced in 2004.

In 2008, a home video of Kim Kardashian and ex-boyfriend Ray J having sex was made public. Kardashian pursued Vivid Entertainment for legal ownership of the video of her and the rapper (Brandy's younger brother). The case was eventually settled outside of court, for a reported $5 million. Kardashian is currently dating Reggie Bush, an NFL player.

The tabloid press has frequently pictured Kardashian out partying and socialising with heiress Paris Hilton.

Kim is a star of the reality TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The show follows her and her family's daily exploits and is one of the highest rated reality shows on the air in the US. The series is broadcast on the E! network channel. She also appeared in programs such as The Tyra Banks Show and MTV Cribs.

Kim Kardashian: Other work

In May 2008, Kim released a fitness DVD, entitled Workout with Kim Kardashian. The DVD was accompanied by a set of workout cards that she developed with the help of Kathy Kaehler, a fitness trainer.
