The pair have been charged after allegedly stealing a photographer’s camera in Beverly Hills last month. According to Beverly Hills police, on September 5th Knight and Williams left a recording studio and encountered a waiting photographer, whereupon they reportedly chased her down an alley and forcibly took her camera, leaving the woman with minor injuries. Investigations are still ongoing, but the police believe there’s enough of a case to begin prosecution. Both men are no strangers to criminal controversy.

Katt Williams Arrested For Missed Court Date - Claims It Was For His Kids

Katt Williams

Comedian Katt Williams was arrested last year for reckless driving which lead to a police car chase. He then missed his arraigned court date earlier this week, which lead the judge to put a warrant out for his arrest, again, reports TMZ.

The comedian, who is set to appear in the next Scary Movie flick - the fifth in the series - to be released later this year, was arrested outside his home in Los Angeles when police spotted him, knowing that there was a warrant out for him. He was entirely cooperative with police, reports claim. However, after leaving jail once the $100,500 bail had been paid, he told TMZ that the reason he missed his court date was because he was in court elsewhere!

Williams is currently fighting a custody battle with his former nanny for his 8 children, one of whom is a biological son while the other seven are adopted. The battle has been going to and fro for months, and after choosing that court date over his criminal court date, it didn't work out so well. "No, I actually don't [have custody]" he said. "[T]he lady who tried to take 'em and lost in court twice, they gave 'em to her."

Another Arrest For Katt Williams – Child Endangerment And Possession Of Stolen Gun

Katt Williams

Another celebrity making a last ditch attempt to climb up our 2012 ‘fallen from grace’ list is the comedian Katt Williams. Adding to his list of recent misdemeanours, the controversial comic has now been arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and possession of a stolen gun.

According to a report from Fox News, LA police officer Norma Eisenman, Katt was taken into custody on Friday (December 28, 2012), following a welfare check at his home. During the check, the authorities reportedly discovered more than one firearm – one of which had previously been reported as stolen. The LA County Department of Children and Family Services did not state how many children were living at the home and have not clarified whether or not the children were subsequently removed from the abode. Williams has one biological child and seven adopted children.

This isn’t the first time that Williams has found himself on the wrong side of the law, of late. Earlier this month, he was arrested on a felony warrant, relating to a police chase and the previous month, he was accused of hitting another man on the head with a bottle, during a fight. All in all, it has been a tumultuous year for Katt Williams and it seems to have culminated in a pretty shameful ordeal.

Katt Williams Handcuffed At Subway Restaurant As Suge Knight Gets A Manicure?

Katt Williams Suge Knight

Well, Katt Williams life is just getting more bizarre by the day. The comedian - who has found himself on the wrong side of the law numerous times over the past couple of months - was detained by cops at a Subway restaurant in West Hollywood on Thursday evening (December 20, 2012). Police suspected the comic was involved in some sort of disturbance, though believe us, this just gets weirder.

Williams told TMZ.com that the drama began while he was waiting for Suge Knight to get a MANICURE at a nearby nail station. Katt was handcuffed and placed in the back of a squad car though was eventually released from custody and allowed to leave the scene. He says cops initially took some weed he was carrying, and a gun, but eventually gave both items back because he had a medical marijuana card for the drugs and a permit for the weapon. The comedian - who slapped a Target employee last month - says the incident was racially motivated and wants to sue the cops.

After Katt had been released from custody, one Subway employee brought sandwiches for both him and Suge. The employee said he never saw the comedian involved in any sort of physical altercation. It has only been 13 days since the comedian was busted outside of Sacramento on December 7 on a felony warrant related to a police chase through the city.

Katt Williams Whips Audience Member With Microphone As Bizarre Behavior Continues

Katt Williams

Katt Williams' troubling behavior caused another baffling incident over the weekend after the comedian and rapper whipped an audience member with his microphone!

LA Weekly reported that Williams 90-date tour has been cancelled after a series of disruptive events caused the promoter Live Nation to pull the plug on the US jaunt. Williams has been arrested at least three times over the past few weeks, including this weekend just gone (Friday, December 9) when he was arrested by a Yolo County sheriff after a chase in Sacramento which had seen Williams riding a motorbike on a sidewalk and refusing to stop for cops. Additionally, there has been a suit claimed against the comedian by his former personal assistant Melissa Ishage who claimed he’d punched her. He was additionally a no-show for his appearance in Seattle on November 29, whilst he arrested two weeks before that for his role in a bar room fracas in Oakland.

The latest incident, picked up by TMZ, saw Williams apparently upset that someone was recording his show on the same night as his motorbike arrest. A video subsequently shows the rapper whipping the audience member with his microphone, before telling the crowd "It could happen to you. Record me and see what happens to you. Go home and get your raggedy pistol and bring it back. I already got mine."

Katt Williams Wanted By Police After Prompting Chase

Katt Williams

Comedian Katt Williams may not have a whole lot to laugh about given the slew of legal trouble coming his way, with the comic's erratic behaviour of late seemingly getting all the more out of hand.

In the most recent case to come forward, Williams is wanted by California Police for reckless driving, which resulted in a chase between police and Williams (on a three-wheel motorcycle) on November 25th. Speaking to KCRA-TV, a spokesperson from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said that a warrant is out for Katt's arrest, with the California Highway Patrol admitting that the pursuit began when police spotted the comic driving on the sidewalk near a Hyatt Hotel in downtown Sacramento.

William's latest police bust-up occurred when he failed to show up at an arranged hearing in Seattle earlier this week where has supposed to be facing assault charges stemming from several run-ins with people and police last weekend. Speaking on his behalf at the hearing, Williams' attorney told the judge on Thursday (6 Dec) that the comedian was led to believe that he hasn't supposed to attend the hearing, revealing that he was still at home in California.

Should Katt Williams Retire From Stand-Up Comedy?

Katt Williams Richard Pryor

Katt Williams says he's drawing the curtain on his stand-up comedy career after his recent problems with the law that culminated in his latest arrest on Monday (December 3, 2012). Williams - whose comedic style is often compared to Richard Pryor's - was in Seattle to perform over the weekend, though his alleged aggressive behaviour in a bar put an end to that.

He was also involved in incidents in Sacramento and Oakland during his comedy tour, including leading police on a bizarre chase and slapping a Target employee before escaping on a motorized cart. Speaking to Seattle TV station KOMO on Monday night, Williams said, "I'm just going to go ahead and announce my retirement from stand-up.I'm kinda done." Speaking after he was ejected from a south Lake Union hotel, Williams added, "I've already discussed it with my kids. I wasn't really going to do it on a Seattle street. I was going to Los Angeles and do it in the offices of ICM (talent agency) or LiveNation (concert promoters). His most recent arrest related to an argument in a local bar, with the comedian accused of brandishing a pool cue at the manager and refusing to leave.

Should Williams stay true to his word, it would certainly be a sad end for a performer once considered a true rising star of American comedy. His first courted attention in 1999, before making television appearances on the BET network and filming several movies including Eddie Murphy's Norbit.

A Sad End: Katt Williams Announces His Retirement From Comedy

Katt Williams

Katt Williams has announced his retirement from the entertainment business after a troubling couple of weeks. On Monday (December 3, 2012), the comedian and actor said he was ordered to leave a Seattle hotel just hours after being released from prison following a police chase in Sacramento, reports Seattlepi.com.

In a rambling interview with KOMO TV, Williams said his stand-up tour was cancelled and that there would be no further shows. "I'm just gonna go ahead and announce my retirement from standup, I'm kinda done. I've discussed it with my kids, I wasn't gonna do in the middle of a Seattle street, I was going to go to Los Angeles and do it in the offices of ICM or LiveNation." Showing his bloodied knuckles and "busted" knee, Williams said it was the fourth Seattle hotel that had kicked him out in recent days. He told a photographer that he was planning on offering $301,000 in cash for the Washington State Ferry Rhododendron (currently up for auction). "I can stay (on the ferry), and my family can be there, and my dogs can be there, and my whole staff can be there, until we get done suing Seattle for this $50 million that I want for crippling my reputation as a father, and a black man, and as a taxpaying citizen, and as a person who is not a convicted felon," he said.

Williams has also been charged with battery after he was caught on camera slapping a Target employee during an in-store argument.

Katt Williams Arrest Infuriates Him As He Threatens To Cancel Show

Katt Williams Faizon Love

When comedian Katt Williams was arrested after a man told Oakland police that the entertainer hit him over the head with a bottle, he didn't go down quietly, rather, he threatened to cancel his show.

TMZ broke footage of arrest, which features Williams saying "Call Live Nation ... call the radio station ... the show's canceled." Katt has since been released pending further investigation. We're not quite sure why he threatened to pull the plug on his Oakland's Oracle Arena in the throws of legal detainment; perhaps he thought the cops were such big fans, that they'd let him go just to listen to his sweet, sweet comedy style. Katt also seems to claim he was outnumbered during the alleged hotel fight - saying, "Four dudes ... one of me" - but the audio features on TMZ isn't clear. Police said the man in question was treated at a hospital for a cut to his head. His name has not been released, The Chicago Sun Times reported.

Mr. Williams knows what an arrest feels like; in October of this year, TMZ broke the story that he pulled a gun on Faizon Love during a heated argument in Hollywood. "Once the argument escalated, Katt went to his car to go get his gun to pull it out on me," Faizon explained of the incident. "Fortunately, one of my homeboys who was there took the gun out of Katt's hands."Faizon continues, "Come to find out the gun he pulled out on me was not even loaded. My homeboy gave it back to him ... then we went in the club."
