Iggy & The Stooges Biography

In the past 35 years, Iggy Pop has quietly assumed an integral role as an innovator and icon to at least two generations of rock enthusiasts, both musicians and fans alike. No other performer has traveled along the chaotic road of success in quite the same way. While many have reached the top, very few have been pushed back in again (and again). There have been a select number of survivors...but few with the scars to show for it, with the determination to keep moving forward as an artist.

i agree w/ iggy pop about the celebrities listing humanitarian and charity work as things "i like to do in my spare time". if you are going to save the world, save the world..if you are going to be an actor, or musician, etc. do that. it's hard to buy into the sincerity of it all when it is accompanied by so much spin and a camera crew. and his insight into the hearts and minds of his fellow female patients while in the mental hospital is incredible. being ignored and mistreated is exactly what was wrong with those women. they weren't crazy. they were probably more sane than the cruel bastards that put them there. iggy pop is just one really cool cat.

no one is cooler than iggy pop. the man is a great writer, singer and performer. and what i've read about him and the interviews i've read, he also seems like a real decent guy. and even though he's 56, he is still so hot and so damn sexy. he is a legend. i'vve been a fan for a very long time, and will continue to be. we are all blessed to have such a talented, free spirit to iinspire us. thank you, mr. pop.
