Hayden Panettiere is an American actress possibly best known for her role in the TV series 'Heroes'.

Hayden Panettiere was born in Palisades, New York. Her parents are former actress Lesley R. Vogel and fireman Alan Panettiere.
She attended South Orangetown Middle School before being homeschooled from grade nine until her graduation.

From 1994 to 1997, she was in the soap opera 'One Life to Live' before landing a role in 'Guiding Light' in 1996 for which the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Society presented her with a Special Recognition Award for raising awareness with her cancer-stricken character.
She was nominated for the Young Artist Award for her 1999 TV movie 'If You Believe'. She also made appearances on 'Ally McBeal' and 'Malcolm in the Middle'.
In 2006, she landed the role of Claire Bennet in 'Heroes' a subsequently attended various sci-fi conventions. In 2012, she was announced to star in the series 'Nashville'.
She made her movie debut in 1998's 'A Bug's Life' and later appeared in Disney film 'Remember the Titans' in 2000.
In 2004, she was in 'Tiger Cruise' and 'Raising Helen' and had starring roles in 'Ice Princess' and 'Racing Stripes'. She also starred as a cheerleader in 2006's 'Bring It On: All or Nothing' and had a supporting role in 'Shanghai Kiss'.
In 2008, she was in the drama 'Fireflies in the Garden' and she starred in the comedy 'I Love You, Beth Cooper' in 2009.
In 2010, she had the title role in the controversial biopic 'Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy'. In 2011, she appeared in 'Scream 4' and in 2012, she played Amber in 'The Forger'.

Hayden Panettiere has recorded various songs for film soundtracks including 'My Hero Is You' for 'Tiger Cruise', 'I Fly' for 'Ice Princess' and 'I Still Believe' for 'Cinderella III: A Twist in Time'. She has also recorded songs for the 'Nashville' soundtrack.
Her first single was called 'Wake Up Call' and was released in 2008.
In 2006, Hayden became the cover girl for the Neutrogena adverts.

Hayden Panettiere has dated her 'Heroes' co-star Milo Ventimiglia, heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko and NFL player Scotty McKnight.
She has a tattoo which reads 'Living Without Regrets' in Italian.
She has done various work for non-profit organisations, namely for anti-whaling and anti-dolphin hunting charities including The Whaleman Foundation.
In 2007, she was awarded with the PETA's 'Compassion in Action Award' for confronting some hunters during an annual Japanese dolphin hunting event.
