Hadouken!

Hadouken! Are a four-man grime/indie band who are linked to the young and new London music scene some have labelled ‘New Rave’. The band consist of James, Alice, Dan and Nick, two lovers and two brothers who met through a mutual love of music and the indie scene at Leeds University and are all in their teens and early twenties. Their visual style is a riotous clash of fluorescent DIY modifications, indie kid fashion and subverted urban wear. Their demo was recorded in a bedroom on not more than a laptop and soundcard…Hadouken! have remixed for their fellow scenesters & peers including a Klaxons remix that the band themselves authorised, plus Plan B and recently done a remix of Bloc Party’s ‘The Prayer’. Their debut track ‘That Boy That Girl’ has also been championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC Radio 1, and has been described as a ‘Snarling work of genius’ by the NME. They have also been asked to support Metric and LCD Sound system on their forthcoming tours as well as play at the NME Breaking Bands Showcase at In The City this year.
