Fat Goth - Class A

Dundee trio Fat Goth present a video for their newest single 'Class A', taken from their upcoming third album 'One Hundred Percent Suave' due for release in May 12th 2014 through Hefty Dafty records.

The video is partially a black and white performance visual frequently cutting to the band causing trouble at a house party, drunkenly annoying people by bursting in on people in the bathroom, flirting with other guys' girlfriends, swearing at people and interrupting conservations between friends. The band aren't ones to take themselves too seriously as proven here, but there's nothing laughable about their striking 90s indie sound with epic guitar solos and expressive vocals.

The band - who are Fraser, Kevin and Mark - will be unleashing 'One Hundred Percent Suave' very soon; another tongue-in-cheek album following on from second offering 'Stud'. 'If 'Stud' is the overweight, unhygienic, eye contact-avoiding weirdo sitting in darkest corners of the nightclub, 'One Hundred Percent Suave' is the pilled-up, pint-downing, football-chanting nightmare throwing it down on the dance floor and bothering all the females in his general vicinity', was the nutshell explanation from singer Fraser Stewart. There's definitely more fun and games to be had from these guys - who seem unable to be anything other than light-hearted about their career, previously revealing: 'Mark is the relentless careerist, Kevin is the eternal teenager and only Fraser knows where the bodies are buried.'

Fat Goth - Creepy Lounge

Dundee three-piece Fat Goth unveil the video for their latest single 'Creepy Lounge' taken from their upcoming sophomore album 'Stud' due out on January 28th 2013 through Hefty Dafty Records. They are also releasing a single for free download entitled 'Debbie's Dirty Harry'.

The video counterpart for the track is a simple performance clip of the band rocking out to the track but it perfectly reflects the general dynamic of the outfit. They're a band that don't take themselves too seriously and write songs just to give people a good time rather than evoke a particular feeling amongst their listeners/ gig goers. The song is a lo fi, upbeat track featuring infectious guitar riffs and heavy, shrieking vocals typical of metal.

The band, Kevin Black, Mark Keiller and Fraser Stewart, who describe themselves as 'metal in denial', started out in 2007 with Allan Mitchell on bass instead of Kevin and soon released their debut album in 2010 entitled 'Mindless Crap' followed by an EP, 'DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!', and a single, 'Willy Wonka And The Charlie Factory'. They have come a long way in the past few years playing alongside Holy Mountain and Tacobonds and appearing at Inverness' Go North festival and the Wickerman festival in Dundrennan.
