Eva Longoria is an American actress best known worldwide for her role in 'Desperate Housewives'.

Eva Longoria: Childhood
Eva Longoria was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. Her parents are Enrique Longoria, Jr. and Ella Eva Mireles.
She was raised in a Roman Catholic household.
She attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology.
She won the title of Miss Corpus Christi, USA in 1998 and was signed to a theatre agency after later being scouted.

Eva Longoria: Acting career
Eva Longoria made her TV debut in 1999 as a host for the show 'LA In A Day'. She followed that with guest appearances on 'Beverly Hills, 90210' and 'General Hospital'.
Her big break was with the soap opera 'The Young and the Restless' in which she appeared from 2001 to 2003.
In 2003, she landed the role of Gabrielle Solis in the drama 'Desperate Housewives' alongside Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross. She continued until 2012 and was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role and won a People's Choice Award and a Teen Choice Award.
In 2006, she starred in the thriller 'The Sentinel' opposite Michael Douglas. She also appeared in 'Harsh Times' with Christian Bale.
In 2007, she appeared in 'The Heartbreak Kid' which also starred Ben Stiller and 2008 saw her star in 'Over Her Dead Body' with Paul Rudd, Lake Bell and Jason Biggs as well as 'Lower Learning' which, again, starred Jason Biggs.
In 2012, she was in 'The Baytown Outlaws' opposite Billy Bob Thornton and historical drama 'For Greater Glory' with Andy Garcia.

Eva Longoria: Other career ventures
Eva Longoria was the first face of Bebe Sport in 2007.
In 2005, she became a spokesperson for L'Oréal Paris and appeared in ads until 2010.
Other advertising campaigns she has been involved with are New York & Co, Magnum Ice-Cream, Heineken, Microsoft and Sheba cat food.
In 2010 she was a judge on 'The Next Food Network Star'. Later that year she hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards.
In 2008, she co-founded that Hollywood restaurant Beso and the Kiss nightclub above it. The restaurant opened in Las Vegas in 2009 with the nightclub Eve.
She released 'Eva's Kitchen: Cooking with Love for Family and Friends' in 2011.

Eva Longoria: Personal life
Eva Longoria was married to Tyler Christopher in 2002 but divorced him in 2004.
She then married Spurs point guard Tony Parker in 2007 but divorced him citing 'irreconcilable differences' in 2011. It was later revealed that she had found messages on his phone from another woman leading her to believe he'd cheated on her. In his divorce petition, Parker cited 'discord or conflict of personalities'.
In 2010 she was listed at number four on Forbes Prime Time's 10 Top-Earning Women who estimated her earnings at $12 million.
In 2006, she founded the charity Eva's Heroes which helps disabled children.
She supports a variety of other charities including PADRES Contra El Cancer, Clothes Off Our Back Foundation, OmniPeace, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the National Stroke Association, Project HOME and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
