The couple has lodged papers at Los Angeles County Superior Court stating they separated earlier this month (Aug12) due to irreconcilable differences, according to Tmz.com.

Rocker Lance, real name Alex Katunich, and Felz Hansen married in 2004 and have one daughter. Lance's estranged wife is asking for joint custody of the one-year-old.

Felz Hansen is also calling for her musician husband to pay her legal bills in connection with the divorce.

Incubus Manager Downplays Brandon Boyd's Hiatus Comments

Incubus CBS

The manager of Incubus has played down reports the rock band is set to take another lengthy hiatus, insisting the musicians just need a rest after constant touring.

The five-piece previously took an extended break in 2008, before regrouping the following year (09), and frontman Brandon Boyd suggested they are ready to scale back commitments once again after completing a series of summer (12) dates.

He told Billboard.com, "We have no plans, to tell you the truth, at the moment. I have been tinkering around, potentially, with a second solo record. That's probably the most likely scenario. But, as far as Incubus right now, we'll probably take another break. Hopefully it (their hiatus) won't be as long as before."

However, Incubus' manager, Steve Rennie, insists the comments have been taken out of context, and the band will just take a short rest before resuming work.

Katy Perry Feared Strip-search For Carrying Rock Music

Katy Perry Incubus

Katy Perry feared she would be ''strip-searched'' by her parents if she was spotted carrying any rock music as a youngster.

The 'Part Of Me' hitmaker worried her minister mother and father would find out that she had been listening to heavy music they prohibited, but she once managed to sneak an Incubus CD into her house without them noticing only to break it in half by accident.

She said: ''I wasn't really allowed to listen to anything besides gospel music, so I'd sneak in different CDs.

Incubus Axe Gigs Over Boyd's Illness

Incubus Brandon Boyd

Rockers Incubus have cancelled two shows on their European tour as frontman Brandon Boyd battles laryngitis.

The group is currently on a trek around Europe ahead of a series of shows in Australia, New Zealand, and the Far East but they've been forced to pull at least two dates after vocalist Boyd fell ill.

They cancelled gigs in Munich, Germany and Vienna in Austria this week (beg21Nov11), and are yet to confirm whether Friday's (25Nov11) planned performance in Amsterdam, Holland will go ahead.

In a statement on their website, the rockers write, "Thanks for hanging in there with us and we hope to see you all soon!"

Brandon Boyd Recalls His Personal 9/11 Experience

Brandon Boyd Incubus

Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd put aside his feelings of helplessness following the 9/11 atrocities so he and his band could send a message of hope to the devastated survivors.

As America plans to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, many celebrities are recalling where they were when two hijacked commercial planes hit the Twin Towers in New York, while a third crashed into the Pentagon in Virginia and a fourth crash landed in Pennsylvania.

And rocker Boyd has opened up about his personal account of the fateful day, revealing he was staying a mile away from the World Trade Center buildings at the Soho Grand Hotel on the night of September 10, 2011 - and he and a friend awoke just shortly before the planes crashed into the Twin Towers.

Speaking to the New York Daily News, he says, "It was such a gorgeous day. I had the windows open so I could listen to the glorious hum of the city... (And then) I heard the first plane go over, which sounded like it went right over our hotel. I said to the young woman I was dating at the time, 'That seems awfully low for a plane to be flying.'

Incubus Star Granted Restraining Order

Incubus

Incubus star CHRIS KILMORE has been granted a restraining order against the band's former DJ after he allegedly threatened to kill the rocker.

Kilmore claims he and his girlfriend, Alison Abiega, were confronted in the street last month (28Dec09) by ex-Incubus star Gavin Koppell, who was replaced in 1998.

Kilmore, who obtained his first restraining order against Koppell in 2003, claims the furious musician "asked me to fight him right there and raised his fists to me."

Koppell then demanded that Kilmore lift the previous ban, allegedly ranting, "You will get killed if you don't lift that order... People get killed in the street for that."

Incubus, Monuments and Melodies Album Review

I've never been a massive fan of Incubus, but I don't really know why. I have enjoyed all of the songs that have garnered airplay in the UK, but I understand they're a considerably bigger deal in their native US. Of course, when you've been active for 18 years it's understandable that you build up a bit of a fan base. Brandon Boyd, Mike Einziger and the rest of the band have undoubtedly had a great career, and it's reflected in some of the tracks on this album; which are transcendent- the big singles: Megalomania, Drive and Wish You Were Here are always going to be great songs, and there's not really any dispute about that.

Ciara Shocks Eminem With Us Number One

Ciara Eminem Gwen Stefani No Doubt Incubus

Ciara has stunned the US album charts by beating Eminem to number one, thanks to her best sales week ever.
The R+B star's new album, CIARA: THE EVOLUTION, rocketed to the top of the Billboard 200 chart this morning (13DEC06) with 338,000 copies sold.
That's almost 30,000 copies more than Eminem's new compilation EMINEM PRESENTS: THE RE-UP, which debuts at number two.
Gwen Stefani's new album, THE SWEET ESCAPE, gives the No Doubt singer her highest chart placing as a solo artist by debuting at three with 243,000.
The soundtrack to Disney show HANNAH MONTANA drops from number two to four in its seventh week on the chart, while hits compilation NOW! THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC 23 slips from four to five.
Meanwhile, Incubus set a new undesired chart record by making the biggest drop from number one in the countdown's history.
The rockers' LIGHT GRENADES debuted at the top last week (06DEC06), but the album plummets to number 37.

Boyd And Murphy Split

Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd has split with his longtime girlfriend, Estee Lauder supermodel Carolyn Murphy.

The couple - who lived together in Los Angeles - reportedly "grew apart" because the 29-year-old singer spent too much time touring with the hit metal band, reports PageSix.com.

Boyd - who confirmed the spilt on his return from an extended world tour - is set to appear alongside Joss Stone, Alanis Morrisette, John Legend and Keith Urban in a new Gap commercial.
