Everyone's favourite coming-of-age sitcom from the nineties 'Boy Meets Girl' is set to make huge comeback this year. sort of. Ben Savage will hit our screens once again as Cory Matthews along with Rider Strong as best friend Shawn Hunter and Danielle Fishel as grade-school-girlfriend-turned-wife Topanga. However, this time it's not really about them; Cory and Topanga now have a daughter, Riley, who has her own growing up to do and we'll get to see if she turns out like her father in season one of 'Girl Meets World'.

Cast as our main star is 11-year-old Rowan Blanchard who you might've seen in 'Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D' (which landed her a Young Artist Award nomination last year) and J-Lo movie 'The Back-up Plan'. It's unclear as of yet what kind of character Riley is going to turn out to be - will she be more like her father or her mother? - but it's more than likely she will make Rowan into the nest biggest Disney star, following the likes of Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Hilary Duff. She certainly seems to have the enthusiasm and twinkling smile that makes the Disney Channel's stars so likable, proving her insatiable excitement with the Tweet, 'it's official! I will be playing Riley Matthews in Girl Meets World!! Ahhh soo excited!' Yeah. So, just in case you had any doubts about her keenness. One might think that she would be a little bit nervous about following in the footsteps of such a seminal TV show, but early signs don't suggest so.

Sabrina Carpenter Los Angeles premiere of Disney Channel's 'Sofia The First: Once Upon a Princess'

Playing the part of 'the best friend' Maya Fox is 13-year-old Sabrina Carpenter who won a part in the comedy movie 'Noobz' in 2012 and played young Chloe in TV series 'The Goodwin Games'. Most recently she took up the role as young Merrin in the upcoming fantasy drama 'Horns' which also stars Daniel Radcliffe and Juno Temple. Sabrina's character Maya is an only child who doesn't know her father and so loyally clings on to Riley and her family. She is described as 'edgy' and 'magnetic' in her official description which paves the way for an interesting character development as the series goes on. Sabrina is not only a budding Hollywood star, she is also a talented singer with her website showing off various cover songs plus one original single called 'Fall Apart' - with this kind of captivating talent behind them, it looks to be unlikely that neither her nor Rowan will 'fall apart' too soon.
