Rapper Iggy Azalea has responded to a series of angry Twitter.com messages from fans who expected her to perform at Leeds Festival on Friday (23Aug13) despite cancelling her appearance.
The Australian star signed up to perform at the music event in England but subsequently pulled the date due to scheduling conflicts, and she updated fans online.
However, after her name appeared on promotion material for the festival, fans were disappointed to discover she wasn't set to take to the stage on Friday.
She has now reached out to her angry devotees to explain, writing on Twitter, "I'm genuinely sorry so many of you missed the memo but I announced that Leeds was canceled weeks ago.
"So no I didn't just 'not show up' I wasn't scheduled to show up. I just did power bash in Hawaii I can't be in two time zones at once. It's an unfortunate thing promoters seem to make a habit of not removing your name from schedules after u pull a date. creating confusion."
