Actor Idris Elba has taken a new swipe at rocker Liam Gallagher, suggesting the singer's career has slumped since Oasis split.

The Wire star clashed with the Beady Eye frontman at the NME Awards in London in February (13) when Gallagher snatched Elba's hat off his head.

The rock wildman later blamed Elba for the incident, insisting the actor tried to mess up his hair, but now Elba has hit back in a foul-mouthed rant, mocking Gallagher's post-Oasis career.

He tells GQ magazine, "(He) didn't like that. Don't touch his hair, apparently. F**k off. Next time walk with a f**king hairdresser, then... Well, 'I'm a popular rock singer, so I'm going to be mean and f**king horrible to people just because they messed up my look.' F**k off...

"F**k that idiot... I don't even know what his songs are about now or what band he's in now. No one gives a f**k, yeah? He was popular when he was in Oasis."
