US rap stars Ice-T, MELLE MEL, Afrika Bambaataa and homegrown MC SKINNYMAN will headline Britain's first ever Hip-Hop Summit (UHHS) in July (06). The event, which aims to unite British and US hip-hop culture, will see the rappers address issues which affect their fans' communities. Ice-T will preside over proceedings, hosting panels debating topics including Reality vs MTV, What is UK Hip-Hop and Grime, and Integrity vs Business. The music-makers will meet in north London from 12-16 July. According to AllHipHop.com, 10 per cent of ticket profits will go towards the African Caribbean Leukemia Trust.
