Rapper and actor Ice T let fly on twitter after being arrested for not wearing a seat belt whilst taking his pet bulldog Spartacus to the vets for a knee operation. The Law and Order actor let rip with a tweet after the event in Manhattan saying "Some punk bitch rookie cop named Fisher #10026 Made the arrest of his bullshit career today. Arresting the Notorious Ice T for no seatbelt.."
In a number of reports about the incident there are claims that ICE T whose real name is Tracy Marrow was also driving with a suspended license a claim that the rapper refutes in a later tweet "And for the record.. My license in not suspended. I don't and never had a NYC licence. I have a valid NJ licence. It was all bullshit...."
In 1992 ICE T raised controversy along with ERNIE C in the band BODY COUNT, the provocative track 'Cop Killer' was condemned by Police Authorities across the States until it was eventually withdrawn from sale after ICE T decided that the controversy had eclipsed the tracks musical merit. A studio version of the track is still unavailable to this day.
Most importantly Spartacus the bulldog is believed to be recovering well after eventually having his knee operation.
