The hitmaker, MC Ren and DJ Yella will hit the stage together for the first time since 1989 at the BET Experience concert on 27 June (15).

He tells Rolling, "We're gonna be there with Snoop, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q. It's just gonna be one of those, 'I wish I were there in L.A. nights.' And we're gonna rock that s**t, no problem."

He continues, "I'm gonna bring out some of the old favourites. We're gonna bring back some memories up in there for sure."

The reunion will take place two months before the premiere of the N.w.a. biopic, Straight Outta Compton, in August (15).

It is unclear if Dr. Dre will join his former bandmates, but Ice Cube is hoping he will grace the stage.

The 45 year old adds, "You know, if you wish upon a star, you never know. You never know.

"It's like, I hope he blesses us with his presence. But if not, I've been rockin' for a long time without anybody. So whoever shows up, I'm still gonna rock. Whoever don't show up, we still gonna rock (sic)."

The final N.w.a. member, Eazy-E, passed away in 1995.

Nicki Minaj, Kevin Hart, Bell Biv Devoe and The Roots are also set to perform at the festival.

Ice Cube says, "Not only am I a fan of BET and I'm really grateful that BET is still around and doing events of this magnitude, but for it to be in my hometown, L.A., and for me to perform at the Staples Center, it's a real cool notch on my belt. It's great in so many ways."
