Rocker Ian Astbury is heading out on the road with The Cult again after taking a break to front The Doors spin-off 21ST CENTURY DOORS/RIDERS ON THE STORM. The Love Removal MAChine star quit Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger's group earlier this year (07) after conjuring up the spirit of Jim Morrison on stages around the world for five years. Astbury has now regrouped with longtime guitarist BILLY DUFFY and the pair is recording the first The Cult album since 2001's Beyond Good and Evil in London with producer Youth. The group will play support to The Who in Europe this summer (07).
