Veteran British actor Colin Baker is delighted after shedding 28 pounds (12.7 kilograms) in weight living on meagre rations for jungle-based reality Tv show I'm a celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.
The former Doctor Who star spent more than two weeks in a camp in the Australian rainforest for the survival show before leaving on Monday (26Nov12) after losing a head-to-head challenge against ex-darts champion Eric Bristow.
Baker told fellow contestants, including former Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts and boxer David Haye, that his main motivation for taking part in the show was to lose weight - and his plan has worked.
He tells British Tv show This Morning, "I have lost two stone. Two stone in two-and-a-half weeks. Think how much you would have to pay in one of those fancy spas for that."
Asked about his first proper meal since leaving the show, Baker adds, "I had the breakfast that all film units mercifully supply to us hard-working people - bacon, egg, sausages. Do you know, it filled me for the day! I haven't been able to eat since."
The star campmates for this year's (12) series were forced to survive for days on a paltry diet of rice and beans after British actress Helen Flanagan flunked five meal-winning challenges in a row.
