The nasty incident happened during filming of a 'tucker trial' on the Australian edition of 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here'.
During the episode, which aired on Thursday night (February 18th) via Channel Ten in Australia, saw a ‘tucker trial’ that required the ex-spin bowler to immerse his head in a series of tanks, containing African clawed frogs, scorpions, Madagascan hissing cockroaches and rats.
After all that, he was presented with a box of assorted snakes – reportedly his biggest fear – and told to do the same again. After initially protesting against this, he reluctantly prepared himself to get on with it.

The weather in Australia has been so bad that ITV bosses have had to get the celebrities out of camp.
The I’m A Celebrity camp has had to be evacuated due to severe storms in the Australian outback. The celebrities have now been moved from the main camp to take shelter in the Bush Telegraph as the jungle is ht by thunder, lightening and torrential rain.
The bad weather has caused equipment used on the show, such as cameras and lighting to lose power in the last few hours, according to The Mirror. Show bosses are now said to be in a race against time to edit tonight’s scheduled programme.

Helen Flanagan appeared to tell Twiiter followers she was alone in her Prestwich house, before thieves broke in.
The former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan has been left "shaken but unharmed" after burglars broke into her house in Prestbury, Cheshire, locking herself and a friend in a row while they stole jewellery and a mobile phone before fleeing. Police are investigating the break-in, reports BBC News.
Ms Flanagan's spokesman said she was "very shaken" though unharmed after the incident. Writing on her Twitter page earlier in the day, the I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here star appeared to let slip that she was in her large detached home alone as Manchester City star boyfriend Scott Sinclair was away. "Super tired today, which makes me emotional, sensitive and mental!" she added.
The incident occurred after Helen was seen out in Alderley Edge yesterday afternoon. Later, police were seen outside the property and interviewed Helen while taking evidence from inside. A spokesman for Cheshire Police said they were treating the incident as an aggravated burglary. "We are investigating a burglary at a private address in Prestbury reported at 11.50pm on Monday 17 June," he said, "Thieves broke into the detached property and stole items of jewellery and a mobile phone."

It turns out the I'm a celebrity finale, wasn't really the final show, as there'll be a lovely catch up program tonight (Dec 5th, 2012) so you can see how your favourite stars are doing now they're free from the jungle, The Mirror reports,
The show will focus on what happened when they stumbled out of the jungle, and into the arms of their loved ones, or if you're Helen Flanagan, a massive sandwich. "It was so hard. It was awful," Helen said as she greeted her parents' arms. "It's just such a relief to see my mum and dad. It's just overwhelming you know." She was quick to post a picture of a healthy (in size) sandwich with fries, and, when asked to reminisce, guess what she remembered first? "I think I quite liked my simple jungle life. I didn't have to worry about anything. I got woken up, got my food delivered to me. It was very simple. It was very stress free." Yeah it was food.
Made in Chelsea star Hugo was thinking less about his stomach, and more about his girlfriend. "I'm so happy to be out," Hugo wept onto Nat's shoulder, "I've been thinking about you so much. I tried not to but I did. For the first two weeks, every time I thought of you I was just like no, don't. Too difficult," he cried.
Oh, Nadine Dorries… have you not heard that little fable about people in glass houses? No? OK, well they’re definitely not advised to start throwing stones and if they are going to throw stones, they should probably make sure they get their facts straight first, so those stones don’t turn out to be boomerangs and come flying right back in their face.
In response to the Labour MP Steve McCabe’s criticism of her neglecting her ministerial duties to appear on the reality TV show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Dorries said to McCabe “I think with your 63 per cent attendance record, you should be quiet. Obviously been taking a few holidays of your own!” What Nadine Dorries had failed to do before leveling such accusations at McCabe was do any kind of investigation into why he’d not attended parliament. His response, on Twitter, was to say “Imagine equating time off for open heart surgery with a paid for holiday on a reality TV show. Says all we need to know.”
Nadine Dorries is certainly not doing herself any favours. In fact, we’re not sure what would have been a worse outcome for her; to be kept in the jungle and make a fool of herself on national television and risk any semblance of a good reputation that she may have had, or to have been kicked out, to make a fool of herself in the real world instead. We reckon she’s best of laying low and switching off the internet for a while, if she’s got any sense.
MP Nadine Dorries entered the jungle for I'm a celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! amongst intense controversy, and she's exited it under the same conditions. Her choice to leave her constituency to enter a game show really didn't go down well with her superiors, colleagues, or the people that she needs votes from come the next election.
According to the Guardian, an Ashcroft survey about Dorries showed the following: "A full 96% of the 1,500 local voters surveyed between 14 and 18 November knew Dorries was on the show... with a mere 16% approving of her decision. When asked about her loss of the Tory whip, 58% of people said this was the right decision, a figure rising to 64% among Tory voters."
In the face of all this criticism, Dorries has tried to defend herself, telling Daybreak that her office hasn't been entirely lackadaisical. "Some of the flak that has been thrown at me I'm afraid just isn't true." She said, "My office has been manned, my staff have been working and I am back at work already." While defending herself it seems that she has no regrets about her decision to enter the jungle, but didn't think she'd be staying the whole course, and feels a personal transformation took place. She says: "I kind of expected it. It's been a fascinating experience. I actually came here self-important for a few days, but I'm not now."

The bushtucker trial failure last night, when Nadine Dorries, the disgraced Tory MP, couldn't face the 'bug burial', meant that the camp's food rations were kept to a minimum and everyone was utterly starving when Dorries and fellow 'celeb' Helen Flanagan were voted to face the next trial. Despite grumbling stomachs, we doubt either of them fancied what was on the menu: camel toe.
Hopefully, being starving will be conducive to a win for both Helen and Nadine. But judging by Flanagan's Monday night confession, that's highly unlikely. The Daily Mail quote her saying: "I think I'll be the person who'll cry the most in the show ever. I'm really struggling. I've even been thinking of going because I just don't know if I can hack it. I'm not feeling very good to be honest. I did think this would be easier. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be... I'm dreading going back and saying I was only in there 10 seconds, but I tried. It's embarrassing and it's just humiliating. I just feel like such a wimp."
In which case, expect plenty of tears for tonight's show in which she definitely does, at the very least, put some camel toe in her mouth and chew. That's a feat in itself. You'll have to wait until tonight at 9pm on ITV1 to see if either Helen or Nadine can cope with an enormous camel toe. We're betting not.

Gemma Atkinson and Jason 'J' Brown endured a frightening encounter with a host of unsavoury jungle residents on the new series of I'm a celebrity...
The former Hollyoaks actress and the ex-boyband member were face to face with cockroaches, ants, meal worms and eel slime during the Terror Train and the Temple of Doom Bushtucker Trial, but endured the unpleasant Antipodean visitors to earn three meals for the camp.
Presenter Ant Mcpartlin told the pair that six stars were fixed inside the Temple of Doom, into which they would travel.
"You've got to go in search of them," he explained. "Sit in the cart and then the cart with move through. It will stop four times - when it stops, the star will fall from the ceiling along with some other jungle nastiness," said Ant.
"You have 30 seconds to secure your star before the cart moves again. This happens four times and the final two you find at the end, they're not going to drop, they will be hanging there so feel around for them."
Before the trial began, 'J' reassured Gemma, saying: "When it happens don't think about it, just grab the stars.
"It's going to be nasty - there are going to be things crawling all over us Gemma, are you ready?" he asked.
A bucket of eel slime soon cascaded over Gemma, before a cockroach shower left her screaming: "It's down my top, it's eating me, aaagh! It's nipping my back, the b**tard."
While 'J' was unable to find the star protected by a nest of green ants, Gemma ignored a shower of meal worms to grab a third star, securing a third meal for the contestants.
Back at the camp the contestants joked about a Cerys Matthews-Marc Bannerman wedding, and Janice Dickinson, Anna Ryder Richardson and Christopher Biggins all received special messages from their loved ones.
