Hulk Hogan's sex tape gave nostalgic fans of the former pro wrestling champion something to chuckle about a couple of weeks back, though it seems things have turned very serious, very quickly, over the controversial leaking of the clip.

Hogan says he had intercourse with Heather Clem around six years ago, though did not known he was being secretly recorded in her home. The New York based gossip site Gawker posted the video earlier this month, though it is unclear how it obtained the footage. Hogan is seeking $100 million in damages from the company, which declined to comment on the case. The wrestler is also suing Heather Clem and Todd Clem, a radio DJ best known as Bubba 'the Love Sponge' and somebody who Hogan considered to be one of his best friends. Standing outside federal court in Tampa, Florida this week, Hogan remained silent, leaving his lawyers to speak with the media. "Mr Hogan had a reasonable expectation of his privacy, just as all Americans have a reasonable expectation of their privacy in their bedrooms," said one of his attorneys.

It's unlikely that a $100 million federal case will come over a sex-tape featuring an ageing wrestler with a questionable haircut, though it'll be fun to watch things unfold anyway.
