Hugh Jackman thinks cinema audiences would like to see Taylor Lautner play a "hairless Wolverine".

The 'Twilight' star has been rumoured to be involved in the upcoming 'X-Men: First Class', and Hugh believes he would be a good choice to portray the younger version of him in the film.

He said: "My own question is can he grow mutton chops?

"Actually, I think people would prefer him as a hairless Wolverine than a rather hairy-chested version. Certainly about a billion young girls would."

A number of Hollywood's leading actors and actresses have been lined up to appear in the prequel to the previous three movies.

British actors Nicholas Hoult and Aaron Johnson have been highlighted as possibilities and Kevin Bacon is also believed to be in negotiations to play the chief villain in the Matthew Vaughn-directed project.

Alice Eve, James McAvoy, Caleb Landry Jones and Lucas Hill have already been cast in the action film.
