Hugh Jackman is to host WWE's Raw SuperShow on September 19th in Cleveland, Ohio.
The X-Men actor will be hosting the event and said "In two weeks, I'll be climbing into the ring on Raw to hang with the Superstars and give the WWE Universe an exclusive first look at my new movie, Real Steal. Don't miss it" according to wwe.com. Real Steal is a boxing drama set in the near future where giant robots battle. The movie is directed by Shawn Levy and it is due for release in October this year (2011).
The 42-year-old actor was born in Sydney, Australia and has been involved in television, film and theatre. He studied acting full-time while at university and was offered a part on popular Australian soap opera Neighbours but turned it down. He first achieved international fame after starring alongside Patrick Stewart in the 2000 blockbuster X-Men where he played Wolverine. The movie and subsequent sequels were a huge international success making him an instant star. He has also starred in Baz Luhrmann's epic Australia alongside fellow Australian A-lister Nicole Kidman. Hugh Jackman was chosen to replace Russell Crowe, who was originally meant to take the role. He is currently in the process of filming several movies including Rise of the Guardians, an animated film which sees Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy band together to fight the Bogeyman.
