Hugh Jackman underwent surgery for the removal of a cancerous growth this week.
Hugh Jackman attended the premiere of his latest movie X-Man: Days of Future Past on Saturday evening with a bandage over his nose after undergoing surgery for a cancerous growth. Jackman told the Associated Press he had a basal-cell carcinoma removed two nights earlier.

Jackman said he learned the results of a recent biopsy earlier on Thursday, and had it removed right after. Basal-cell carcinoma is a slow-growing form of skin cancer and Jackman was treated for the same disease last year. The actor said "It's all out now" but urged others to "get checkups and wear sunscreen".
The actor said he hopes that fans of Wolverine will be smart about their health.
Days of Future Past - directed by Bryan Singer - sees the ultimate X-Men team fighting a war of survival across two time periods, with James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult starring alongside original stars Jackman and Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart.

The Australian actor has also signed on for another Wolverine movie, which James Mangold is rumored to be directing. A tentative date of March 3, 2017 has been set, with David James Kelly taking up writing duties.
