The 'X-Men' actor is gearing up to host the Tonys.
Hugh Jackman has stepped up his efforts to promote his upcoming hosting of the Tony Awards by uploading a quirky and funny new video. The intriguing two minute clip shows the Aussie actor waking up in the morning and seemingly being unable to stoo jumping whilst he goes about his daily tasks.
After making a mess of shaving and brushing his teeth, Jackman burns himself on his coffee which he throws all over himself due to his constant bouncing. He hands a fan an illegible scribble for an autograph and heads out of his hotel to bounce down the street.
His bouncing continues even when he makes an appearance on ESPN. "Why is Hugh bouncing?" the video asks. Apparently, all will be revealed at Sunday night's Tony Awards.
As well as helping to award the year's greatest theatrical accomplishments this year, Jackman will soon be returning to Broadway from November in the Royal Court Theatre production of Jez Butterworth's new play, The River, starring Jackman, along with Laura Donnelly and Cush Jumbo.
The Les Misérables actor is a Broadway veteran himself, having appeared in Back on Broadway, A Steady Rain and The Boy From Oz. In 2012, Jackman was honored with a Tony Award Special Award for Extraordinary Contribution to the Theatre Community.
The awards' nominations are led by the musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder which is up for 10 prizes whilst Bryan Cranston, Neil Patrick Harris and Idina Menzel are also in contest to be awarded for their work on stage.
Guess we'll find out what it all means on the 8th June, oh and probably see some stage superstars awarded too.
