Dexter star Michael C. Hall is to replace Hugh Jackman in the stage musical adaptation of Tim Burton movie Big Fish.
Jackman was forced to pull out of the production due to scheduling issues and Variety reports Hall and the producers have been locked in negotiations with the bosses of his TV drama in a bid to free him up.
Big Fish is set to open on Broadway next spring (12).
Ewan MCGregor, Albert Finney, Billy Crudup and Helena Bonham Carter starred in the 2003 movie, which was nominated for an Academy Award.
Both the film and the musical were inspired by Daniel Wallace's 1998 book, Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions.
