Hugh Hefner, the multi-millionaire Playboy founder and his fiance Crystal Harris, have called off their wedding, reports Tmz.com. Hugh Hefner's bride-to-be took the decision to cancel the wedding on Tuesday (14th June 2011), just days before the ceremony.
The couple were due to wed at the Playboy Mansion on Saturday (18th June 2011), but following an argument over the weekend Harris has now moved out of the famed mansion. The pair reportedly fought over the phone in an argument that began to turn "nasty". More than 300 guests were invited to the nuptials, all via custom-made invitations. The marriage would have been the third for Hefner, who filed for divorce from his second wife Kimberly Conrad in 2008. The 85-year-old was previously married to Mildred Williams, whom he divorced in 1959. Hefner proposed to Play-mate Harris on Christmas Eve by placing an engagement ring inside a 'Little Mermaid' box. Speaking to People Magazine at the time, Harris said, "We were up in the bedroom.and my favorite movie is The Little Mermaid, so he had the ring in a Little Mermaid box, and that was so special. I opened it and the first thing he said to me was, I hope it fits!".
Hugh Hefner's representative was not immediately available for comment, but he is expected to confirm the cancellation of the wedding soon.
