Controversial DJ Howard Stern is making a shocking new cartoon series about his wild teenage years growing up on New York's Long Island.
Cable channel SPIKE TV has ordered 13 episodes of the animated show HOWARD STERN: THE HIGH SCHOOL YEARS, which will be launched next summer (05) and is produced and written by the New York radio presenter.
A Spike TV spokesman says, "Stern's parents, who have made frequent call-in appearances on his syndicated weekday radio show over the years, will be major characters on the cartoon series. Episodes are still being written and producers are conducting animation tests."
Spike TV is hoping the series will help rebuild their trademark adult-oriented cartoons after two other animated series - GARY THE RAT featuring Kelsey Grammer and STRIPPERELLA, starring PAMELA ANDERSON - were dropped from the schedule.19/08/2004 02:44
