The 'America's Got Talent' judge and his wife Beth Ostrosky Stern have been left devastated after their beloved pooch Bianca passed away aged 10 on Tuesday (17.07.12).
The outspoken radio DJ wrote on his twitter page: ''Tough day today my friends. Thanks to all for all the kind messages. Give your dog a hug for me tonight.''
Beth announced the sad news on the micro-blogging website and spoke of her grief at losing the couple's ''precious'' mutt.
She tweeted: ''We lost our precious bianca today. My sweet little girl, may you rest in peace. i love you forever. (sic)''
Earlier this year, both Howard and Beth showed their love for the late canine by having her name tattooed on their arms.
Howard, 58, and Beth are being comforted through this difficult time by their pet cat Walter, who they adopted.
The 39-year-old actress-and-model wrote on twitter: ''My handsome boy walter makes us laugh daily. been with us for 2 years now. adopting an adult cat is so rewarding. (sic)''
