Rosie O'Donnell is Howard Stern's top choice to join him on the panel of NBC's 'America's Got Talent'.
Howard Stern wants Rosie O'Donnell to join him on the panel of 'America's Got Talent'.
The DJ recently revealed he will return to the TV talent show despite initial doubts and those close to Howard revealed he is lobbying for Rosie to get a role too.
A source told the Huffington Post: ''Rosie and Howard have had a tough past but now they are great friends. He thinks she is a great talent and will bring a new energy to that show.
''NBC wants to keep Howard happy, and the chemistry between the judges is what makes the show a huge success. Just think what Rosie did when she joined 'The View' -- suddenly the show became must-see TV again. At the moment, a list of names exists, but if it were solely up to Howard, Rosie would get the job.''
NBC recently praised Howard's ''towering presence and opinions'' when announcing his return for the new series.
Paul Telegdy, president of NBC's alternative and late-night programming said: ''Howard Stern's towering presence and opinions on last season's show as a new judge made a dramatic impact and added a sharper edge to the fascinating developments on stage.
Howard's fellow judge Howie Mandel is also set to return although Sharon Osbourne quit the panel earlier this year after claiming NBC fired her son Jack Osbourne via email from reality show 'Stars Earn Stripes' following his diagnosis with multiple sclerosis (MS).
