Electro-pop band Hot Chip will release their new single 'How Do You Do' on September 10th 2012. It will be the second to be taken from their fifth studio album 'In Our Heads' released last month (June 2012).
The corresponding video to the track, directed by Rollo Jackson, is a surreal, slightly trippy collection of various pieces of action including footage of skateboarding, surfing, Irish dancing, tribal dancing and line dancing all arranged with an artistic though dreamlike quality using simple production techniques which add to the classic 90s electronic pop feel that is so well conveyed by the track. With its resounding synths and slow but booming drum beats, it expresses a distinct energy that separates them from a lot of other contemporary pop-electro bands.
The group have announced a show supporting Pulp on the SS Coachella cruise ship in December and are looking forward to a UK and Ireland tour still fresh from their tour in America which saw them play at the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago and sell out at New York City's Prospect Park show. Some dates in the UK are also already sold out so snap up the tickets while you can! Hot Chip have eve managed to have one of their tracks used for the London Olympics table tennis competition.

The season 7 premiere guests featured some cast members we haven't seen much of for a while.
This year's Rotterdam event was definitely one to remember.
