Australian singer/actress Holly Valance's ex-boyfriend operated a secret drugs laboratory from his family home, a court has heard.
Peter Ververis, 27 - who Valance once described in an interview as "a great guy who she trusts completely" - and his brothers Chris, 22, and Nicholas, 20, were arrested in September last year (06) after police raided two properties in Cheltenham, south Australia.
Melbourne Magistrates' Court was told police found more than 400 grams of amphetamine powder on a kitchen bench, about 20 grams of amphetamine crystals and a plastic bag containing cocaine.
They also found a clandestine laboratory containing hoses, glassware, filters, a hot plate and other substances including acetine, iodine and methylated spirits used in the extraction and manufacturing process.
Peter Ververis faces five charges of possessing material to manufacture a drug of dependence, trafficking methylamphetamine and knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime. He has been released on conditional bail and ordered them to appear in the County Court on 24 January (08).
Valance dated Ververis for six years before ending the relationship last year (06).
