Teen superstar Hilary Duff ignored her influences when recording debut album, because she's determined to carve out a name for herself.
The 16-year-old resisted the temptation of copying her favourite artists when she entered the studio to record 2003's METAMORPHOSIS.
She says, "There are definitely people I respect and I love their music, but there was never really an artist that I said, 'I want to be just like them, I love the way their career is going, I love their music.'
"It wasn't really like that. I wanted to be like myself."29/01/2004 20:58
