British actress DAME Helen Mirren has picked up two Screen Actors Guild awards at a star-studded Los Angeles ceremony. The 61-year-old was named Best Female Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for her portrayal of QUEEN ELIZABETH I in ELIZABETH I and she won the same prize in the movie category for playing Queen Elizabeth II in THE QUEEN. It was a good night for other Brits - Jeremy Irons took the Best Male Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries for his role in Elizabeth I and HOUSE star Hugh Laurie won the Best Male Actor in a Drama series award. Elsewhere there were awards for Forest Whitaker, JENNIFER HUDSON, Eddie Murphy and UGLY BETTY star America Ferrera.
