Former boxing champion Hector 'MACHO' CAMACHO is in police custody after he was arrested over allegations of child abuse.
The Puerto Rican sportsman, 49, turned himself in to cops in Florida on Monday (02Apr12) following an incident with his young son last year (11).
Camacho is accused of stomping on his kid during a furious altercation at his ex-wife's home on 22 March, 2011, according to local paper the Orlando Sentinel.
The child reportedly told detectives investigating the case that his father was "high on drugs" during the incident.
The boxer landed the Super Featherweight Champion and Lightweight Champion World Boxing Council titles in the 1980s, and was crowned the World Boxing Organization's Light Welterweight Champion twice in 1989 and 1991.
