Rapper Heavy D's autopsy report has been deferred pending the result of ongoing toxicology tests into the hitmaker's death last week (08Nov11).
The hip-hop star, real name Dwight Arrington Myers, was found unconscious outside his home in Beverly Hills, California last Tuesday after returning from a shopping trip. He was taken to hospital and pronounced dead an hour later.
But it's now unlikely a cause of death will be announced ahead of Heavy D's funeral in New York on Friday (18Nov11) after Los Angeles officials ruled the autopsy was inconclusive on Monday (14Nov11).
Coroner's spokesman Ed Winter told reporters last week that no illegal drugs had been found at Heavy D's home, but a doctor had prescribed him medication for a cough.
