Nine years after 'The Dark Knight' actor died from a medication overdose at the age of just 28, a movie has been made celebrating his ambitions and his talents. Directed by Adrian Buitenhuis and Derik Murray ('I Am JFK Jr.'), and written by Hart Snider - all of whom previously worked together on the documentary series 'Facing' - the movie features interviews with the likes of Naomi Watts, Emile Hirsch and Djimon Hounsou among others.

The trailer for the film shows people like Grammy winning musician Ben Harper, filmmaker Matt Amato, 'Brokeback Mountain' director Ang Lee and actor Ben Mendelsohn as well as Ledger's model ex-girlfriend Christina Cauchi, his childhood friends Trevor Dicarlo and N'Fa Forster-Jones, his agent Steve Alexander and his sister Kate Ledger all opening up about this star's love of film.

They speak about his obsession with cameras, filmmaking and directing, his quest for fame which was ultimately disappointing, and his trailblazing role in 'Brokeback Mountain'. 'Before 'Brokeback Mountain' came out it would've been unthinkable to have a romantic tragedy involving two gay cowboys', says Mendelsohn. 'This is one of the biggest heartthrobs on earth taking on that character. That's an artist.'

Also known for starring in soap opera 'Home and Away', rom-com '10 Things I Hate About You', historical drama 'The Patriot' and the comedy 'A Knight's Tale', Heath Ledger was nominated for two Academy Awards in his career. In 2006 he was nominated for his role in 'Brokeback Mountain', and in 2009 he became the first person to posthumously win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor after playing The Joker in 'The Dark Knoght'.
