Aussie actor Heath Ledger is the frontrunner to play surfing great GREG
NOLL after impressing biopic director STACEY PERALTA with his board skills in
new film Lords of Dogtown.
THE PATRIOT star plays surf shop legend SKIP in Peralta's new
skateboarding film, and now the director is keen to cast him as a real surf
Speaking to movie website MOVIEHOLE.NET, Peralta says, "Heath's really
good in this film. The producers of the Noll project have been banding Heath
Ledger's name about."
Noll was the surfer who helped create the laid-back lifestyle attributed
to the sport and its followers after becoming a legend in Hawaii in the 1950s.
