Japanese animation director Hayao Miyazaki has rubbished rumours he is retiring from his film career, insisting he still has plenty of unfinished business.
The 65-year-old, often called the Walt Disney of Japan, claims he is not content to sit back and take a rest until he has exhausted his creativity.
He says, "Right now I am working on three museum shorts simultaneously.
"I'm also working on designing some spaces in a museum.
"As for my next film... Well, I have to be ready, the studio has to be ready.
"We have to make sure there's a market for the film.
"So unless those three factors are fulfilled...
"About my retirement, I can't say anything about that!
"It's just nice to have some new ideas floating around in my head."
