It was revealed by Harvey Weinstein this week that Kristen Stewart was given $500,000 for a Hurricane Sandy charity for spending time with a rich prince
Kristen Stewart managed to earn half a million dollars in only 15 minutes, and if that wasn't impressive enough, the money she made was donated straight to charity. The Twilight star caught the attention of an unnamed Middle Eastern Prince, who was so taken with the actress that he forked out the huge sum for just 15 minutes of her time.
Just $500K can buy you 15 minutes with Kristen Stewart
According to film producer Harvey Weinstein, Kristen was helping to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy when Weinstein was approached about spending some one-on-one time with Kristen by the mysterious, ultra-rich Middle Eastern monarch. Initially dismissing the requests, Kristen soon caught wind of what was happening and was actually willing to meet with the high-paying Prince, leading Weinstein to broker a deal to arrange the meet-up. Sounds seedy doesn't it?
"And Kristen sits with the guy for 15 minutes," Weinstein concluded in his story to reporters on the red carpet before the screening of Hurricane Sandy benefit concert film 12.12.12 on Sunday, 8 September. He went on to explain that the Prince paid the fee in cash up front, and he and Stewart sat for 15 minutes in an office in Madison Square Garden, where the Hurricane Sandy benefit concert would later be held.
Harvey Weinstein: Hollywood's most prominent pimp?
Stewart wasn't the only famous face present at the Sandy benefit, as Weinstein had assembled a group of A-listers for the benefit that would raise $30 million for relief efforts. Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Mick Jagger, Bruce Springsteen and others were also present, although it isn't clear whether any of them were offered to any members of royalty.
