The Roc Nation mogul has his sights set on the One Direction star.
Jay-Z has reportedly vowed to make Harry Styles “the biggest artist in the world” and guide his solo career. The rapper, who is also the boss of Roc Nation, has said he’s even willing to work with Simon Cowell to help manage Harry’s post-One Direction career.
Jay-Z thinks he could make Harry Styles ‘the biggest artist in the world’.
"Harry doesn't need any help with exposure, everybody in the world knows who he is,” Jay-Z reportedly told The Daily Star Sunday. "But he does need to make the transition from being part of a group to becoming an individual artist."
"I can get him working with the bigger artists, the biggest producers - and have him as the biggest artist in the world within a year.” Recently Harry has been working on his solo material and is said to have registered new songs with ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers).
The songs - titled ‘5378 Miles’, ‘Already Home’, ‘Coco and Endlessly’ have made fans think that he is now ready to begin his solo career, as One Direction are currently on hiatus. Harry is said to have worked alongside Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid and dance producer Gary Go on the tracks.
Jay-Z also said he’d be willing to work with Simon Cowell, who has managed Harry’s One Direction career for the past five years. "I would love to sign Harry. Simon is going to want to carry on working with him, of course."
"But we could do a joint venture - we both have big qualities we can bring to the table,” he said. "And Harry can make more than enough money for everybody to get a piece of the pie."
