Harry Potter star Emma Watson was left shaken following her 18th birthday celebrations - after a lewd photographer aimed a camera up her skirt. The British actress threw a lavish party in London for her milestone birthday last April (08) - a date that was all the more poignant as she was granted access to her $14 million (£10million) fortune.
But Watson's enthusiasm for her bash soon waned when the press discovered her whereabouts, and the venue was surrounded by hordes of snappers keen to get a shot of the teen in an inebriated state.
And the paparazzi's intrusion was taken to an obscene new level - when one paparazzo tried to take an intimate shot of the young actress.
She explains to Britain's Mail on Sunday, "It was pretty tough turning 18. I realised that overnight I'd become fair game. I had a party in town and the pavements were knee-deep with photographers trying to get a shot of me looking drunk, which wasn't going to happen. I don't have to drink to have a good time.
"The sickest part was when one photographer lay down on the floor to get a shot up my skirt. The night it was legal for them to do it, they did it. I woke up the next day and felt completely violated by it all. That's not something I want in my life."
And Watson is stunned that snappers can get away with such indecent activities - insisting she would have taken legal action if she could.
She adds, "I just kept thinking that if it had happened a day earlier people would have sued their a**es off."
