Harry Potter creator Jk Rowling has been voted more influential than British royal Queen Elizabeth II in a poll of the world's most powerful women.

The Scottish author came 40th in a survey compiled by American business publication Forbes - rocketing 45 places from number 85 last year (04).

US Secretary of State CONDOLEEZA RICE topped the chart of moguls, while the Queen settled in 75th place, with British Prime Minister Tony Blair's wife Cherie Blair at 62.
