Harry Potter star Emma Watson has taken to Twitter.com to respond to criticism after she was photographed walking a dog whose coat was dyed bright pink.
The British actress came under fire from pet lovers who accused her of animal cruelty when she stepped out in London with the bubblegum-coloured canine on Friday (22Jun12).
However, Watson insists the dye job was not her doing, pointing out the pup actually belongs to a pal who is raising money for charity.
In posts on Twitter.com, she writes, "PinkDarcyDog is pink because her owner is raising money for breast cancer. I wish Darcy was my dog but she isn't. Was just walking her... Just to clarify one more time that I don't have a dog. Fact checking takes five minutes."
