Hogarth Hughes is an intelligent young boy with a love of exploring. One day, his adventurous nature leads him to discover a colossal iron giant living in the forest having fallen from space. The robot appears to have the understanding of a child and thus finds himself vulnerable to the dangers of the earth and oblivious to his fate should the government find out about him. When Hogarth realises this and that the iron giant just wants to be his friend, he does everything within his power to keep him safe, even if that means lying to the government agents and army officials who come sniffing around for information. Hogarth is just 9-years-old, but he finds himself having to explain the way the world works to this confused creature, including mortality, sacrifice and the rules of right and wrong.

Lopez was a judge on the show from 2011 to 2012 but returned for the 13th season earlier this year. Urban has been a judge for the past two seasons. Connick Jr. joined the other two judges for the 13th season. All three are confirmed to return for the 14th season of the hit show.
The contestants couldn't come to an agreement on this week's results night.
With five contestants left, it was time for a slight rule change. Did the producers lift that idea from The Hunger Games? We may never know. Anyway, the new rules stated that the five remaining contestants were allowed to either axe the finalist with the lowest votes or keep him/her, but face a tougher contest next week.
This week's lowest votes went to Sam Woolf.

Don’t expect anything new from the trailer for Dolphin Tale 2, but expect some heart-warming music, cute kids crying about animals, proud and determined parents and – of course – some plucky dolphins surviving against all odds. This family adventure is back for another round of dolphin tales, which are – again – based on a true story.
Winter the dolphin had his life-saved by Dr. Cameron McCarthy (Morgan Freeman) back in 2011. But now his elderly surrogate mother Panama has passed away, the determined non-fish needs a companion in order to comply with USDA regulations.
'Dolphin Tale' saw Sawyer Nelson and Dr. Clay Haskett save the life of a beached dolphin named Winter who was so badly injured, she needed a special prosthetic fin fitted in order to survive. She was thus housed in the Clearwater Marine Hospital with a motherly dolphin named Panama. However, following Panama's tragic passing, Winter's future could look very lonely indeed unless the staff at the hospital can find her a new friend to share her life with; an action that is stringently required lest she is moved to another aquarium. That's where Hope comes in; an incredibly tiny dolphin who the Clearwater staff have shipped over to join Winter. The question is, is Winter's heartbreak over Panama's death too much to deal with in spite of new company?

The latest Idol vote was met with disappointment from judges and fans.
Proceed with caution, spoilers below. Jennifer Lopez reminded us why she is everyone’s favorite American Idol judge during last night’s show. The singer broke out in tears after Malaya Watson owned the stage with Jennifer Hudson’s I Am Changing. The judges were unanimous on Malaya’s performance. Harry Connick Jr. called the teenager “a goldmine of talent.” J-Lo predicted Malaya would “run away with the title.” And yet, on Thursday night, Malaya Watson was voted off American Idol.

It's safe to say nobody saw that coming.
This week might be the first American Idol round in a while to see an actual twist – and it’s still just the second round of eliminations. The unfortunate Idol wannabe to end up on the chopping block was Emily Piriz, despite getting almost rave reviews for her performance of Jennifer Lopez’ Let’s Get Loud the night before. The other two contestants to end up in the bottom three were Jena Irene and MK Nobilette, who had to sing for her life for the second week in a row.
Competition was tight, but Emily Piriz ended up going home.
Before going home, Emily sang for her life, choosing Stars by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.
Some of the contestants tripped up on "songs that remind them of home", but there were some real gems in there too.
It’s down to the Top 12 on American Idol and things are getting real. The theme last night was songs that remind the finalists of their hometowns, so there was plenty of variety in genres and singing styles last night.

Jenna Irene kicked things off with a well-praised cover of Suddenly I See by KT Tunstall which reminded her of road trips with her mom and brother. The judges praised her unique take on the song, but Harry Connick Jr. “wanted more”.
