Rapper GZA delighted fans in his native New York on Thursday (18Oct12) by performing his classic album Liquid Swords in its entirety as part of the 2012 CMJ Music Marathon.

The Wu-Tang Clan star returned home this week (begs15Oct12) to take the stage at Irving Plaza and revisited the iconic 1995 release, digging deep into his discography to run through songs like I Gotcha Back, Cold World, Shadowboxin' and the title track, backed by a full live band.

He was supported by tour mates Killer Mike, Bear Hands, Color Film and Haleek Maul.

The 2012 CMJ Music Marathon, which primarily shines the spotlight on up-and-coming artists, kicked off on Tuesday (16Oct12) and has featured showcases from newcomers including The Young Evils and Sky Ferreira, and more seasoned musicians The Walkmen, Joss Stone and Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard.
