Gwyneth Paltrow hates watching herself in movies, because she despises her voice and is convinced she can't act.

The OSCAR winner's irrational fear causes her to run from movie theatres or switch over TV channels rather than face the prospect of catching herself onscreen.

She explains, "It just makes me freak out and think how terrible I am and how awful my voice sounds."

Paltrow claims the condition is worsened when she appears alongside actors she admires.

She adds, "I remember doing THE TALENTED MR RIPLEY, and Matt Damon really needed to see what he was doing. He was so good in that film that it made me wish I didn't repulse myself so much, because maybe I could be learning what he's learning."
