Gwyneth Paltrow visited a hospice for terminally-ill patients in London on Wednesday (06Apr11) to support a friend who lost her husband to cancer.
Paltrow's pal Sarah Wyn-Jones was widowed when her her husband, Gareth, died last year (10) and he received care from the Marie Curie Hospice in Hampstead, north London during his illness.
The Hollywood actress has now thrown her support behind the organisation and she's backing Wyn-Jones's upcoming charity walk to raise money for the centre.
She says, "The staff at the Marie Curie Hospice are amazing and their free care and support to terminally ill people and their families at the worst possible time is truly remarkable. I hope that as many people as possible sign up to the Hampstead Hug walk so that the hospice can keep helping more families like my friend Sarah's."
The Hampstead Hug family takes place on 3 July (11) around Hampstead Heath.
