Gwyneth Paltrow has one less thing to stress about after Vanity Fair's promised article about her supposed infidelity to Coldplay husband Chris Martin has not surfaced.

The Thanks For Sharing star flew into a panic back in May this year (2013) and emailed various friends saying, 'Vanity Fair is threatening to put me on the cover of their magazine. If you are asked for quotes or comments, please decline. Also, I recommend you all never do this magazine again' according to the New York Times. The reason why? Well, several sources told Page Six that VF were seriously looking into Gwyn's relationship with real estate billionaire Jeff Soffer, a friend of hers who the publication think is closer to her than first appears.

Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter insisted that they would be running a story on her alleged adultery this December explaining to the Times: "We wouldn't be doing our job if there wasn't a little bit of tension between Vanity Fair and its subjects. In any given week, I can expect to hear from a disgruntled subject in Hollywood, Washington, or on Wall Street. That's the nature of the beast."

However, a spokesperson for Gwyneth flatly denies any wrongdoing on her part. "It's completely false," they told the Daily Mail. "Jeff is a longtime friend of Gwyneth's and there was no romantic relationship with him at all, He flew many of his friends to Miami that weekend - not just Gwyneth."

It looks like the whole situation is rather putting her off America too and told Red magazine in an interview that her children spending their teenage years in Hollywood was not something she had in mind for them. "I don't want my children to be teenagers in LA. No way," she said. "I'm looking at this move to America like two years, three years tops - then we will go back. I love London - it's my favourite city in the world. I love my house and my life there."
